Are You Familiar With The

Library Scene in “Wings of Desire”?

It makes me ponder whether angels do exist as invisible creatures, but visible only to children’s eyes. Then, when I see the wonder of random acts of kindness from another person, even if I doubted, those instances make me believe that angels do exist in the form of humans. When I work on a project my goal is to create distinctly unique language of cinematic arts that makes it worth the while communicating with audiences.

THE MAGIC BOX

Did You Know? When one peers through the peephole of Lane’s Telescopic View of the Interior of Great Exhibition, the scenes depicted become alive. The peep show creates three-dimensional illusion of depth; it is comprised of prints on cardboard connected with cloth that is folded into accordion, which collapses into a box.

The Great Exhibition of 1851 was the first world’s international exhibition that was visited, among others, by Charles Dickens and Charles Darwin.

Did You Know? USC’s Special Collections contains not only rare books and materials like Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, but also historical artifacts such as an Olympic Torch from the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics.

I traveled to Refugee Camps in Jordan and documented Syrian and Iraqi refugees’ plight. My story on filming “Crossing Desert and Sea” documentary project is featured in USC School of Cinematic Arts News in SCA Student Stories.

WORLD BUILDING: DIRECTING AND ACTING IN VIRTUAL WORLD

Since my young age, I have been experimenting with different acting techniques and, I knew I wanted to become a director. I am a visual thinker so over the time I have become excited about new ways of creating fictional worlds inhabited by species from other universes. I chose to study at USC SCA because I knew it would give me access to a variety of stages, including green screen and performance capture stages. This documentary allowed me to immerse myself in the process of world-building in which a story would be placed. It focuses on new challenges for actors performing in virtual reality productions.
