Did you know? The proposal to remove Tiffany’s mural Dream Garden from the lobby of Curtis Center mobilized Philadelphia’s community engagement efforts in one of the most contentious preservation battles. The mural was constructed as a glass-mosaic of over hundred thousand pieces of “handmade” glass by Tiffany’s New York Studios in 1916. The battle was worth the price since to this Day Dream Garden can be viewed free of charge.

The Impact of Social Change and Law on Diplomacy
Doctoral Dissertation in Canon Law
It highlights the roles people play in society to launch new diplomatic dialogue and affect legal changes. One chapter examines the Vatican Diplomacy and how the 1974 Italian divorce referendum, which allowed the divorce law to remain in force, made obsolete some norms of the 1929 Lateran Treaty. In 1984 new Agreement between the Holy See and the Italian Republic was signed and ratified in the light of both evolving norms on enforcement of foreign judgments in Italy as well as within the Church, which culminated in the promulgation of the new Code of Canon Law.
